Preparing to Leave

Today marks one week before my twin sister and I set sail, or rather, take flight, to Chester England for three months.

Woah.

It seems like all we have been doing is filling out papers, emailing a gazillion people, running to Target and Walmart, and talking about how we need to pack for weeks. I have said "I am studying abroad in Chester England this semester" like it is my job. Going to England has been this "thing" we've been talking about doing, but now it is actually happening. And I am so stinkin' excited. Sure, I have nerves and a little anxiety about being so far away from my family and friends, but the adventure that awaits is overpowering my nervousness.

For those of you reading you don't know where Chester is, I have attached a map. Chester is on the western edge of the country near the middle.

I haven't even begun to pack yet, but have accumulated all the necessary things over the past two weeks. Besides my critical documents like my passport and social security card, one of these very, very necessary items is my new black trench coat thanks to the fabulous L.L.Bean store outside of Chicago. (Ok, maybe not totally necessary...)

Don't we look European? I doubt we will look like the Americans we are one bit. (I hope you read that with the thick sarcasm I intended).

Side joke: If you are in the living room, you're an American. What are you when you are in the bathroom? EUROPEAN! Man, I crack myself up.

Beyond putting off packing my life into one big suitcase, I am soaking up all the time I have left in the States this week by filling up on Chipotle, Starbucks, family and friends.

The journey is actually happening, and I don't think Chester knows what is coming when Erica and I go TWINTERNATIONAL. September 17, get here, would ya?
